Working with Nicole at Hands On Holistic was an inspiring journey of bringing her unique, compassionate approach to wellness into the digital world. Nicole, a dedicated counsellor and art therapist, specialises in helping individuals navigate grief and find healing through creativity and mindfulness. Together, we focused on creating a brand presence that authentically reflects her warmth and expertise. This collaboration aimed to ensure that Hands On Holistic’s online and offline presence is as inviting and supportive as Nicole’s practice, making it easy for clients to connect with her transformative services.

Client Background
Hands On Holistic, founded by Nicole Terlier, is a counselling and art therapy practice located on the Sunshine Coast, with a mission to support individuals through life’s challenges, particularly in times of grief and transition. Nicole is a skilled counsellor and art therapist who combines traditional counselling techniques with creative art therapy to help clients process emotions, build resilience, and foster personal growth.
With a strong emphasis on holistic wellness, Nicole’s approach encourages space for clients to explore their inner worlds. Hands On Holistic is committed to empowering clients on their journey toward emotional wellbeing, offering a blend of empathy, expertise, and creativity that makes a profound impact on those she helps.
Branding Guide
Developing the brand guide for Hands On Holistic was a process of distilling Nicole’s compassionate approach to therapy into a visual identity and strategy that resonates with her mission. I focused on creating a brand that feels warm, grounded, and approachable, aligning with the supportive nature of Nicole’s practice.
The guide included a soothing colour palette inspired by natural, earthy tones to evoke calmness and trust, while the typography was chosen to convey both professionalism and warmth.
Together, we defined key messaging points that emphasise empathy, creativity, and healing, ensuring consistency across all platforms. This brand guide serves as a blueprint for Hands On Holistic’s communications, providing a cohesive foundation that beautifully reflects Nicole’s holistic, client-centred approach.
Website Design
The Hands On Holistic website was designed to be a calming, inviting digital space that embodies the brand’s warmth and supportive approach. Using the brand guidelines we developed, I crafted a visually soothing layout that reflects Nicole’s holistic philosophy.
The earthy colour palette and typography creates a harmonious, easy to navigate experience, making visitors feel welcomed and at ease. Thoughtful design elements, such as soft imagery (line art) and intuitive call to action buttons, encourage users to explore Nicole’s services and learn about her unique approach to counselling and art therapy.
Each page was crafted to enhance user engagement while staying true to the brand’s grounding and empathetic tone, allowing clients to connect with Hands On Holistic’s offerings in an authentic, meaningful way.

Social Media Strategy
For social media, the focus was on building a strategy that felt sustainable, aligned, and emotionally intelligent to support visibility without forcing Nicole into constant output. I helped shape clear content pillars that reflected her services and values, including grief support, art therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and gentle education that builds trust over time.
The strategy was designed (although not implemented yet) to guide both what to post and why: creating a consistent rhythm, improving clarity around her offerings, and helping her speak to the people who need her most in a way that feels safe and respectful. The outcome was a practical roadmap for showing up online with consistency and care. This is all so her content can act as an extension of her practice: calm, supportive, and grounded in real expertise.
