Change-Up Project

Change-Up came to me needing cohesive, visually engaging social media content to promote their fundraising and drive awareness for two key events: the Season of Change Gala and Sip & Support. My role was to design a consistent suite of event graphics alongside their Senior Graphic Designer. The focus was on clarity-first design while still carrying the emotion and humanity at the heart of their mission. The result was a social-ready set of posts that looked like a campaign.

Client Background

Change-Up Project is a not-for-profit built on the belief that real change happens when people show up for people. Their mission has evolved to support individuals facing hardship in many forms, with volunteers providing practical essentials like food and clothing, alongside something just as vital: conversation, dignity, and connection.

At the centre of their work is a deep respect for each person’s unique goals and needs. Through their Makeover Project, Change-Up welcomes participants as honoured guests and shares their stories through photographic art - capturing transformation in a way that’s both visible and deeply personal. Their Makeover Day is designed to spark change inside and out, helping uncover forgotten dreams and giving them room to breathe again. Above all, Change-Up exists to create awareness, ignite compassion, and drive meaningful change for those navigating challenging circumstances.

Social Media Content

This project was designed to support a fundraising campaign with clear campaign-level consistency across social media. We created a cohesive visual system that could flex across multiple post types while staying unmistakably “Change-Up”: warm, human, and purpose-led, without losing the professional finish needed for event promotion.

My work involved developing a consistent layout style for event announcements, key details, calls-to-action, and reminder content, making it easy for viewers to understand the “what” and act on the “how” quickly. The visuals were built to balance emotion and information: strong hierarchy, readable typography, and design choices that supported accessibility and fast scrolling behaviour (because the algorithm is chaotic, but our posts didn’t have to be).

The final outcome was a set of cohesive event graphics that strengthened brand recognition, made the campaign feel more credible and organised, and helped Change-Up show up online with the same care and intention they bring to their community work offline.
